tug at my heart strings...

Last night we enjoyed Corbins first middle school band concert.  The emotion that ran over me just looking  at my little man Corbie growing up in a blink.  I couldnt help but slide back in my mind to a beautiful spring day before he was born.  Matt, Kyler and I were a small family of 3 still... and walking to the Daffodil Parade.  I remember how Corbin {in utero} would bounce all about while the marching band was playing... and here he stood before me almost 12!  We could easily read emotion on his face too {something Im afraid I have passed on}  We couldnt be more proud of him!

am I over blogging?

This is how I feel lately.  Life if so busy.  I rarely get chances to escape into all the lovely blogs I used to read religiously.  While typing the last two sentences.... I have been interrupted and lost my train of thought 5 times!  I am hoping things slow down and I can find the love I used to hold for blogging.  As for now I will take these blog moments when I can grab them.

women

"Women can be hard on each other. We have insecurities and we say things and we hold standards for each other that sometimes aren't fair. We can talk about things we shouldn't talk about and do things we shouldn't do or maybe not help each other when we really should be doing more. But I believe in women and the amazing power we give each other. There are millions of amazing, inspiring, genuine women out there doing their best." one of my favorites
While quickly buzzing through a few of my treasured blogs this a.m.  I was touched by these words...

last day of school traditions

Cade and cousin Madysons last day as third graders

Always bitter-sweet to watch the 5th graders walk through the bubbles.  Seems like just yesterday I was there watching Kyler and her friends ending their last day of elementary school.  It was fun to see the excitement in Corbins eyes {and his out of control hair that day}  ♥ the picture of the boys and little sister Ella stealing some of the flare.   Corbin doing the secret hand shake with his teacher one last time as a 5th grader.   Probably not his last... as I have seen this shake happen with older students who shared the same special year with Mr. B

da band

Ella and cousin Lily were busy making band {the yellow leafs} hats and collecting instruments for their band.  We marched around town....
