{easter & chicks}

One year ago we brought home 8 chicks and our mini farm ;) began{one for us all + my parents}  Later we lost 2 roosters and gained my sisters 3 hens.... but thats another story.  This is the first year we didnt dye Easter eggs... and I am yet to hear a complaint.  Maybe it is because boiled eggs are not a rarity around here.  Or the fact that we see many shades of green and brown eggs daily.... that the kids really didnt feel the need.   I am reminded of how eggs are a symbol of rebirth on this Easter Sunday.... and all that has been given to us through Christ.
Wishing you and yours a blessed Easter!

we haven't been getting blue eggs lately. we changed feed and egg production dropped down to 1 per day, but now we are back up...but still no blue. interesting. I also love our colored eggs.

We don't have our own eggs but we left the eggs white this year. It was fun to hide them and try to find them when they are in such "plain" view!

Hope you had a fancy farm girl Easter!

God's rich blessings to you and your family !!!
